Mock Crash

To raise awareness of distracted driving dangers and risks among students, Logan Elm High School will host a mock accident on Friday, October 12 at 1:45 p.m.

In partnership with the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office, the Pickaway Township Fire Department, Survival Flight and the FFA chapter, students will experience a mock accident scene with simulated responses from the emergency rescue crews, the fire department and survival flight. Phil Renaud, Executive Director of the Risk Institute at Ohio State University, will be on site talking to students about the risks associated with distracted driving.

The Risk Institute is currently leading a nationwide initiative comprised of dozens of companies, government entities and researchers seeking to combine leading-edge research with industry expertise in order to predict and curb distracted driving behaviors.
