Hopewell's Junction Group
Jarrod Burks, Ph.D., President of Heartland Earthworks Conservancy, shared details of the Junction Group, a Native American earthwork complex in Ross County which was a parcel of land being auctioned last Tuesday. The parcel was saved by preservationists, preventing the complex (which was believed to been built 1,800-2,000 years ago) from ending up in other hands. Burks says saving the parcel opens the door for the area to become a park. Learn more at www.earthworkconservancy.org.
