Chillicothe’s Caleb Price won the 138 pound championship in the D-II Wrestling Sectional at Alexander High School in Albany.

Price won by a major decision over Fairland’s Isaiah Collier 12-3.

Three Cavaliers were runners up in their respective weight classes. Jacob Price at 145, Christian Collins at 160 and Tom Dunn at 195.

Tyler Howard won his third place match at 285.

The top four places advance to the District tournament at Wilmington High School next weekend.

As a team, Chillicothe finished 5th in the two day tournament. New Lexington finished ahead of Athens for the team title. Sheridan was third, Gallia Academy fourth, then the Cavaliers, followed by Fairfield Union, Vinton County, Warren, Marietta, Jackson and Meigs.

Placing fifth was Austin Mathis at 220 while Trevan Bond-Pennington (182) and female wrestler Daries Harris were 6th place finishers.
