The remaining Chillicothe Wrestlers all suffered 2nd round consolation defeats Saturday morning to end their seasons.
132 Pounds: Zach Carpenter (Sheridan) by pin Caleb Price 4:16. Carpenter scored an early take to take a 2-0 advantage and entering the 3rd period with the match at 2-1. Cavs coach Mike Peck said “Price made a key mistake when riding in the top position and reversed to his back, for the pin.” Carpenter and Price had split on the season. Carpenter won at the Miami Trace Tournament and Price winning at the Alexander Sectionals
last weekend. Price, a sophomore finished the season 33-10.
145 Pounds: Tyler Sowards (Kenton Ridge) by pin Jacob Price 4:51. Jacob Price was unable to get things going in his second round consolation match against Sowards, the Milton Union Sectional Champ from Kenton Ridge. Jacob’s Junior season record ends at 31-8.
160 Pounds: Nate Marmol (Taylor) over Christian Collins by decision,
8-5. Down 2-1 in the second period, Collins gave up a 5 point move to Marmol. Peck said “Collins scored some points late, however was unable
to recover enough points in time.” Collins’ sophomore season record ends at 43-7.
