Chillicothe’s Summer Finley is headed to the State Bowling Tournament next Friday.

Finley rolled a 633 series to be the lone individual state qualifier from Friday’s Southeast District Bowling Tournament at Shawnee Lanes.

Ross County was represented by Zane Trace Boys and Girls teams, Chillicothe Girls Team, and the Cavaliers’ Jarred Zeisler who was an individual District qualifier last weekend. 

Only the top teams and top individuals advanced to the next round.

Maysville’s Boys and Zanesville’s Girls qualified as teams.

Chillicothe Girls ended up in 4th place, with Zane Trace ending up in 6th place. 

It’s Finley’s first trip to the State Tourney.  

Three Cavalier Wrestlers have reached the Saturday round of the Division II District Wrestling Tournament at Goshen High School.

Caleb Price (132) won his first match 6-2 but lost his second to retuning two-time state champ from Micky Jordan of St. Paris Graham.

Jacob Price (145) lost his first match 11-4 but bounced back to win 16-3 in the first round of consolations.

Christian Collins (160) won his first match 9-1. But fell to Bo Jordan of St. Parris Graham in the quarters round. Jordan is a returning three-time state champ.

For Nick Lawhorn (113), the season came to an end.
