The Chillicothe will be looking for a new Boys Basketball coach. After one season at the helm of the Cavaliers, Drew Meister reportedly has handed in his resignation.

Sources confirm the board will likely act on the resignation at the Monday meeting.
Meister was hired in May of 2012 to fill the vacancy created when Gary Kellough stepped down. Meister's Cavaliers finished 8-16 losing to Athens in the District Semi-Final at Ohio University in February.

Speculation regarding Meister's status came in question Thursday afternoon when the Chillicothe Athletic Department announced the Boys Basketball Camp for next week was being canceled.

Meister confirmed by text with Clear Channel Sports, he would be the new coach at Hebron Lakewood, which he stated "brings me seven miles from my kids" in the Newark area. Meister added leaving was a tough decision to leave a "young bunch that was coming around" speaking to the Cavs' development.
