Chillicothe Council Preview for September 12th

Chillicothe Council meets in regular session at 7 tonight with 17 items on their agenda.

Up for third reading and passage is an appropriation to buy a lawn mower for $35,000.

Up for second reading are ordinances to establish pay rates and benefits for non-bargaining city employees, and to approve a 2023 health benefits proposal for all employees.

Up for first reading are:

- Appointments of Dr. Richard Villareal and Dr. Brandy Spaulding to the Ross County Health Board

- And appropriating almost $27,000 from the One Ohio Opioid Settlement

The livestock and homeless camp ordinances remain committed.

Some council committees will meet before the session, starting at 6:

Engineering will discuss signage and Certified Downtown Business District grant allocation.

Safety Services will discuss replacement computers for the police.

Park & Recreation will consider expanding the DORA, or Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area.

There is also the topic of a credit card machine for the tax department.
