Repair of Adena Road Bridge Will Affect US 35 and Onramp

Emergency repair of the Adena Road bridge over U.S. 35 in Chillicothe is set to begin Monday. The bridge was closed near the end of March after it was found that a vehicle had hit bridge, leaving severe damage to one of its beams.

ODOT reports that repair will take three to four weeks to complete. Once the work is underway, US 35 westbound will be reduced to one lane between State Route 104 and Pleasant Valley Road.

The on-ramp from State Route 104 to US 35 west will be closed, and motorists will be detoured via US 35 east to Bridge Street.

Traffic on Adena Road will continue to be detoured via Orange Street, Piatt Avenue, Buckeye Street, State Route 104, and Pleasant Valley Road.
