Boys Basketball: Scott leads Hillsboro in victory over Chillicothe

Chillicothe played with great effort, but Ryan Scott, of Hillsboro, made sure that his team would gain a win at Hatton Gymnasium, Tuesday. Scott buried 33 points and led the Indians to their 12th win of the year. Hillsboro is now 6-1 in FAC play.

The first quarter was all offense as both teams shot nearly 60% from the floor and wound up with the Indians on top, 20-18. The second period was the opposite, as turnovers hurt the Cavs early and resulted in Chillicothe only scoring two points. It was 25-20 Indians at intermission.

Scott had 12 at the half and nailed 9 more in period three. Hillsboro pushed the advantage to 43-32, but the Cavs kept coming back. Chillicothe, short on manpower due to illness, scored 22 final period points.
