Ross Grand Jury Indicts on Weapon while Intoxicated, Impounded Four-Wheeler

The Ross County Grand Jury returned 22 of their 23 cases Friday, with four open.

In one, the Sheriff's department was called to a report of people fighting at a residence on Mingo Road on April 8th.

According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, people there said 36-year-old Adam L. Norman was drunk and acting crazy and screaming in a bedroom. Deputies then thought they heard a round being chambered in a firearm, and ordered Norman to surender...but he said they would have to shoot and kill him.

He was safely detained, with a loaded handgun that he admitted to have actuated.

For indictments on obstructing official business and using a weapon while intoxicated, Norman could get up to 18 months and $3,500 in fines.

In another, on June 6th, officers were at the Sheriff's impound lot near the Ross County Fairgrounds. They noticed a few individuals with a four-wheeler out in a nearby field.

According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, it turned out that the vehicle was being held in the impound lot, and 31-year-old Dillon T. Carroll told officers he heard it was for sale for $300, and he had brought help to retrieve it...but could not start the four-wheeler.

For indictments on receiving stolen property, Carroll could get up to 18 months and $5,000 in fines.
