NBA Player: I Grew My Hair Out Due To Sexual Abuse

(San Antonio, TX) -- NBA player Lonnie Walker the Fourth says he grew out his hair as a child to cover up sexual abuse.

On Instagram, the San Antonio Spurs guard said he was raped and abused by a family member in fifth grade but declined to release details. He called his wild hairstyles more of a cloaking device and a mask of his insecurities.

Walker had his hair chopped off on Wednesday and noted he's found peace and internal happiness.
