Annual Competition at Pump House Art Gallery

The annual spring art competition is on display at the Pump House.

The Pump House Center for the Arts in Chillicothe's Yoctangee Park was packed with both people and art on Thursday's opening night.

Liz Conley is the president of the Chillicothe Art League, and she said it was a phenomenal turn out - almost to the point of being overwhelming. The show is open to any artist, not just members, within a 75 mile radius.

But Corzine says about 80% of the 80-plus works on display were by members, and most of the award winners were, also.

The show continues through the free annual "Earth Gathering" festival on the grounds of the Pump House, April 27th.
