Two Pounds of Suspected Meth in Chillicothe Drug Bust

A suspicion of drug paraphernalia in a hotel room led to a huge bust Monday afternoon.

Chillicothe Police Detective Derek Wallace confirmed a search warrant was executed about 12:30pm at the Holiday Inn Express on East Main Street.

It netted two pounds of what is believed to be methamphetamine, with a street value of $80,000...as well as about $8,400 of suspected cocaine, $600 in cash, and a stolen handgun.

32-year-old Maurice A. Ramsey of 228 East Fairview Avenue was arrested on a parole violation, but two women found in the hotel room were released.

Charges are pending the conclusion of the investigation and drug testing.
