The Frankfort Sunflower Festival gets underway Friday evening. The three-day festival offers a variety of events and attractions. Event organizer Kristie Miner said live southern gospel music takes place with the band Soul'd Out on Friday night. The main attractions occur Saturday with the annual Sunflower Show, Baby Contest, and Princess Pageant.
New this year is the Adena Warrior Challenge course competition on Sunday, Miner said.
