Paints Take Miners 10-6 Sunday

Chillicothe earned a 10-6 win over West Virginia Sunday to take two of the three game weekend series.

All 10 of the Paints runs came from the middle five batters. Kyle Orloff (Indianapolis) and Dalton Bollinger (Toledo) drove in three runs each, Tanner Piechnick (Ohio) drove in two while Peyton Newsome (Indiana Tech) and Chad Roberts (Northern Kentucky) each had one RBI apiece. Bollinger and Piechnick both had 3rd inning home runs.

It was the first time the Paints scored 10 or more runs since late June.Nick Kamrada (Ohio) allowed three runs on just five hits for the win.

The Miners mounted a small come back in the top of the 9th scoring three runs, but the Paints got the victory.

Chillicothe (21-22) will travel to Butler Tuesday. The Blue Sox have been a thorn in the side of the Paints. Butler has beaten Chillicothe 7 of 9 games this season.
