The Lyman England Memorial Classic Developmental Meet will take place on June 14 at the Chillicothe High School Bobo Track & Field Complex. USATF Rose’s Running Club, in conjunction with the Chillicothe Track Officials Association, is conducting two track and field meets. The first is a USATF Junior Olympic Youth Developmental Meet for ages 7 thru 19. The purpose of the developmental meet is to introduce elementary and junior high school students to track and field. High school students are also welcome and are very important for setting examples for the first time competitors. This meet is very low pressure. Ribbons will be awarded to the top six places. The second meet is open to young adults to master competitors ages 20 to 100. This meet is an opportunity for the older competitors to test their abilities and introduce them to the world of Masters Track and Field. Meet information for both meets can be found at either http://ohio.usatf.org/Events/Upcoming-Events.aspx or from Scott Rose at firstname.lastname@example.org. All of the entry fees will go to the Lyman England scholarship Fund, which awards two scholarships to two senior high school track and/or field athletes going on to college.
