The Fraternal Order of Police is holding its annual Good Guy-Bad Guy Golf Outing in Chillicothe next month to raise funds to benefit local children in need.

Proceeds from the Good Guy-Bad Guy Golf Outing allow cops to take kids in need shopping during the holidays. The children are selected by Ross County Job and Family Services after meeting eligibility requirements.

This is the 36th year for the event, which started with a group of lawyers and police officers who decided to take their friendly competition on the golf course and use it to help local children.

The golf outing takes place at Rivers Edge August 9th. Registration is at 8am. Cost is $50 per player.

Deadline for entry is Saturday. To learn more, call 773-1191.
