Seeds of Hope will be hosting its first annual "Walk for the Homeless" on August 23rd in Yoctangee Park. The overall goal of the walk is to raise funds and awareness about the organizations efforts to assist the homeless population in and around Ross County.
There are a few ways community members can participate in this walk. Interested persons can be a walker or a walk sponsor. Currently there are about 15 churches and organizations with contact persons for the walk. To learn more about being a walker, sponsor or contact person contact Jack Waters.
Registration will begin at 9am at the Kiwanis Shelter in Yoctangee Park. The walk is 2 miles long and will last approximately one hour. Walkers will have the opportunity to take a tour of the shelter as part of the walk route.
