Traffic Stop Nets Drug Arrest

Chillicothe Police are reporting a drug made from Tuesday.

Detectives and patrol officers stopped a vehicle for several traffic violations at the corner of Main and Rose Streets. After making a traffic stop, officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in plain sight on and around the driver's person. A probable cause search was conducted and officers found approximately 12 grams of heroin on the driver who was identified as 23-year-old Donta Thompson of 916 Fleet Street.  

The arrest is part of continuing efforts by the U.S. 23 Task Force, The Chillicothe Police Department, and the Ohio Organized Crime Commission to combat the drug problem in Chillicothe.
