Ross County Community Action is turning back to the community for help to keep their men's homeless shelter open. They are currently in need of $12,000 to meet the demands of their annual budget of $62,000.

Long-time volunteer Greg Lewis says they can serve up to 11 men each night, totalling 150 per year. Lewis says their goal for these men is to help them find work and a home, generally offering each man up to 30 days of shelter assistance.

A golf outing fundraiser is scheduled for May 31st at Rivers Edge Golf Course, to help with the shelter's expenses, which totals $62,000 annually. They are currently are in need of $12,000 to remain open the rest of this year.
