During its Friday session, the Ross County Grand Jury indicted a Chillicothe man for abduction and domestic violence. Investigator Rick Hannan, with the Prosecutor's Office, said 27-year-old Joshua T. Young is accused of assaulting a pregnant woman at his home on Pam Lane between May 28-30.

 

Hannan said the victim was treated at a hospital for injuries and told authorities Young beat her for three days, took her phone, and threatened to kill her. 

 

The Grand Jury indicted Young on a third-degree felony count of abduction and fifth-degree felony count of domestic violence.

 

The Grand Jury also indicted a 50-year-old man on three felony counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. David B. Laney, Jr., of Chillicothe, is accused of having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl in May, according to Hannan. 

 

Also indicted were 19-year-old Marvan D. Woodfork, of Chillicothe, for possession of heroin, 33-year-old Latisha M. Penwell, of Bainbridge, for possession of heroin, and 29-year-old Nathan A. Moore, of Chillicothe, for burglary.

 

All told, the Grand Jury returned 29 indictments; 5 were open.
