18 cases were presented and returned as indictments during Friday's session of the Ross County Grand Jury. According to Rick Hannan, an investigator with the Prosecutor's Office, the open cases involve charges that stem from three separate search warrants. 


Indictments include:


*40-year-old James C. Thomas, Jr., of Chillicothe, for third-degree felony possession of cocaine. Hannan said authorities served a search warrant at 405 East Water Street on March 4th and found Thomas inside with two cell phones and $1,050 cash, as well as 13.28 grams of cocaine and scales.


*29-year-old Sean K. Hancock, of Columbus, for third-degree felony tampering with evidence. The indictment alleges Hancock tried to hide a metal crack pipe in the toilet of an East Water Street home during an April 8th search warrant.


*52-year-old Margaret J. Blazer, of Chillicothe, for fifth-degree felony possession of heroin. According to Hannan, Blazer was allegedly found with a syringe and 0.14 grams of heroin during a search of 402 Belleview Avenue on March 4th.
