Multiple people were issued citations and two were arrested following a pair of fights in Chillicothe, Thursday afternoon.

According to a police report, officers responded to the 300-block of East Fifth Street where a fight broke out between at least four people and ended when 51-year-old Julia Strausbaugh reportedly hit two of the men with a snow shovel until it broke.

Strausbaugh, as well as, 31-year-old Dustin Strausbaugh, and 54-year-old Joseph Kelper were issued disorderly conduct fighting citations, while 20-year-old Jesmin Beverly was cited for disorderly conduct.

Chillicothe Police were then called to the area of Ewing and Fifth streets about five minutes later in reference to another fight in the street.

Authorities report 58-year-old Bennie Woodfork was cited for disorderly conduct fighting, while 21-year-old Tre Beverly and Dustin Strausbaugh were arrested for persisting disorderly conduct.

One man was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center following the second fight, according to police.
