Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judy French spoke to the Chillicothe Rotary Club on Monday. She said a million and a half law suits are filed each year in Ohio, but the Supreme Court only hears about 100. Unlike lower courts, the Supreme Court decides which cases it will hear partially by how secession will affect citizens of the state, she said.

Justice French added that the Supreme Court is open with cameras. Sessions are televised and streamed on the courts web page. In addition, briefs filed with the court are also online.
