Posted July 30th, 2014 @ 2:16pm

As part of a three day, fifteen county swing, Ohio Attorney General Mike Dewine stopped at the Ross County Law Complex on Wednesday afternoon, to discuss ways his office could help local law enforcement.

Dewine also talked about some of the problems that included heroin.

Dewine talked about the deaths resulting from the drug and stated, "judging from some of the counties I've talked to in the last day here in southern Ohio, I think our of the numbers are going to be up significantly again in 2014."

Dewine also talked about OPOTA, Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy. The Academy helps get extra training out to local law enforcement.

Other topics discussed included, the many training opportunities available to local law enforcement through the Attorney General's Office and the Attorney General's initiative on statewide back log of rape kits.

Dewine visited Waverly earlier in the day on Wednesday.
