Chillicothe-based Horizon has settled their differences with Viacom, the owner of MTV Networks.
Horizon objected to Viacom’s demands for huge fee increases, which led Viacom to place the signal on an hour-by-hour basis as negotiations continue. That agreement came Tuesday evening, according to a Horizon statement.
"Viacom owns popular networks such as MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. But in order to offer these, the cable networks require us to carry networks that are not as well-known, networks such as MTV2, MTV Hits, MTV Jams, Tr3s, CMT Pure Country, VH1 Classic and VH-1 Soul. We are encouraging customers to visit, www.TVOnMySide.com for the latest updates on our dispute with Viacom," explained Misty Tuttle, Horizon Broadband Services Manager.
