Students from the Christian Life Academy in Jackson presented the Holzer Foundation with several gas cards and a check. Brittany Boggs, Morgan Sexton and Katie Williams all 7th grade students held a service project to help raise the money. They sold pink lemonade to their classmates and auctioned off a basket during their Spring Social.
The money and gas cards will be used for women who are receiving cancer treatments at the Holzer Center for Cancer Care.
Over $1000 was raised to provide assistance for those undergoing cancer treatments, "who often live 50 to 60 miles away from Holzer’s Center, and are very likely to need daily treatments," stated Ken Moore, Executive Director of Holzer Center for Cancer Care. "This donation will make a difference to those women, and will help ease the financial burden our patients struggle with during their care."
