Sheriff Lavender reports that his office, along with agents from the U.S. 23 Task Force, executed a search warrant on a residence and business in the 11000 block of State Route 41 just outside of Fruitdale.

Members of the Emergency Response Team entered the property at about 5pm where there were five adults.  An active meth lab was found, as well as chemicals used in production of meth and numerous pieces of drug abuse instruments.

29-year-old Dustin Pinkerton* was arrested on possession of drugs and warrants out of Fayette and Highland Counties. 27-year-old Jessica Shumaker was arrested on a warrant out of Fayette County.  The property owner faces several felony charges pending lab tests.

Paint Creek Fire Department was on the scene to assist with clean up.

This bust was a product of Sheriff Lavender’s S.T.O.P.P. initiative, which stands for "Stop Trafficking or Pay the Price."
