More local police and sheriff departments are seeking investigative assistance from the Ohio Attorney General. Ohio A.G. Mike Dewine, who appeared on the WBEX Sounding Board Tuesday, says he is receiving such requests from local law enforcement and even county prosecutors.

Dewine says traditionally, they have offered help for many years through their Bureau of Criminal Investigation & Identification (BCI&I). But, now requests are also being made for more agency resources for the actual local investigation.

He added that the AG Office's Special Prosecution Unit, gets called-in when a county prosecutor might have a conflict of interest.
