Seven years ago, while sitting on their porch, Kevin and Amy Mears came up with a plan to give back to the community where they could use their skill.

Since cancer is prevalent in their families, their mind the idea for Faces of Survivors was born. This marks the 5th year for the art gallery where photographs of cancer survivors are taken and put on display in OU-C's Bennett Hall.

Recently, Faces of Survivors surpassed the 100 mark of survivors being able to participate in the exhibit. Survivors are photographed with the person or people who have been instrumental during their diagnosis, treatment and survival of cancer.

The 5th Faces of Survivors will be at OU-C's Bennett Hall Art Gallery, Saturday, June 7th, at 6pm. Admission is free and you are able to give a free will offering at the event.
