(COLUMBUS, OHIO) --- More than 500 athletes are expected to participate in the 2014 Special Olympics Ohio State Basketball Tournament Team Finals and Individual Skills Contest Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22, in Bowling Green.

Pike County is represented in the State Basketball Tournament Team Finals, featuring 30 teams from 24 counties.  In the state semi-final games 4pm Friday, it's Pike County DD vs. Defiance County DD. 

Pickaway County is represented in the Individual Skills Contest, featuring almost 300 athletes representing 12 counties. 

Championship Games are Saturday.  The Individual Skills Contest, also on Saturday, involves individual competition in basketball-related skills, such as dribbling, passing and free throw shooting.

All Special Olympics Ohio events are free and open to the public.
